Chicago Snapshots

I often focus on architecture, or specific buildings, but in truth it is the spaces these buildings inhabit and create (and the people that inhabit and create them) that interest me most of all. My blog title including “spaces” is no mistake! In light of this (and the fact that I’m traveling this week), I thought it would be fun to put together a little photo essay of the Windy City as seen through my camera lens over the last week or so. The weather has turned beautiful and the city has been looking its best, whether you’re on the river path, the lakefront, or in one of the city’s many beautiful parks.

Happy June!

  1. Thanks – very enjoyable from my vantage point here in New Orleans. Five years ago we thoroughly enjoyed a boat ride architectural tour on the Chicago River. A great experience.

    1. Thanks! The buildings define not only the spaces inside but also what’s outside–and as you can see from my pictures, I tend to frequent parks 🙂

  2. Love this new take on the meaning of “spaces,” Susie. Wonderful photos — especially those in which you used reflections to convey a sense of space.
