Views of Vermont

Last week I spent a long weekend in Vermont. It was beautiful and the fall color stuck around just long enough for us to see it. Woodstock, Vermont, has made it onto my blog before but my focus was Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park. Today I’m bringing you on a little trip through the town of Woodstock and concluding on the Park’s historic carriage roads, which are now used as hiking trails.

Visiting the Woodstock vicinity or just curious? These are some of my favorite spots:

  1. Marsh Billings Rockefeller National Historical Park visit the historic mansion and hike the historic carriage roads. The Pogue (last picture) and Mt Tom are beautiful hiking destinations! Inspired? Head across town and climb Mt Peg for more great views.
  2. Billings Farm and Museum
  3. Simon Pearce glass studio and restaurant. Overlooks the Ottauquechee River and the Quechee Bridge. Head downstairs to get views from a back deck and see the glass blowing studio!
  4. Quechee State Park. Quechee Gorge is impressive and there are no bad views.
  5. The Ardmore Inn. So cute and best fall decorations in town (third picture).
